Well, considering that ost people aren't that worried about being around drunk people, and you're talking about being afraid of the idea of someone being even slightly impaired*... So yeah, on a scale of what most people are afraid of, and the proportion they worry about those things, I would say that your issue is something that it could be worth talking about. That is, if you are interested in being able to have healthier, less fearful relationships with people who drink occasionally.

* This part actually confused me a bit, because alcohol isn't the only thing that can slightly impair judgement and/or impulse control - illicit drugs can, but so can prescription and over the counter drugs. As can strong emotional states. As can puberty.

As can tiredness. Honestly that affects my judgment way more than anything I put into my body.
