No shit. It's ridiculous how far some people get just because they know how to play the network game.

You mean like practically every working actor in Hollywood right now hah. I can't tell you how many interviews I've seen of someone admitting they never went to college/uni or dropped out and now they're making at least 6 figures to play pretend all day.

Same reason you'd need a degree for say, programming: Because there is actually quite a bit of theory that you can know. But of course programming is one of those disciplines where degrees are kind of ... ehhh.

You don't need a degree for programming either, so that's a really bad example.

That's a really ridiculous notion that you'd need college to learn acting or programming... they usually require some education, yes, but you don't need a university for that.
