Yup! There is a HUGE amount of fanfic about this, and about the aftermath, and it's all sweet delicious angst with justifiably!insecure Hutch and overprotective!Starsky and stuff.

I'm always soooo glad when a show tosses us an episode that makes it possible for a character to absolutely wallow in self-loathing and humiliation and misery *without* seeming like a moron or a dick, due to just how extreme the character's situation was. Because I absolutely love that shit, but in so many fics, the h/c situation isn't horrible enough and therefore just makes me go "pfft, this is so OOC, he'd never really behave like that."
