Sorry to barge in, but. My theory is that if you can hold someone with your mind, make them feel some kind of force that isn't actually there, then you could, perhaps, direct that force anywhere. Even against/inside yourself.

That could feasibly work, when you think about it, but only on an Insert Tab A Into Slot B level, so I doubt there's a WHOLE lot to gain from that (not that the thought of two Zach Quintos doing themselves isn't kind of awesome).

Like the other commenter said, the force could be used on yourself. And also, we know that Candace's power involves creating very life-like illusions, and she could conjure up another person other than herself, as we saw with the two blonde chicks in that scene. So uhm, yes.

But I don't think any kind of logic is compatible with Sylar/Sylar. All I know is, it's hot. Screw logic!
