I'm slowly realising that all the Silmarillion slash ships bother me. I hadn't realised Turin/Beleg was a Thing (I stay out of the fandom because I'm a snooty prat who loves the books too much), but I agree everything you just said.

Thank you. I'm actually a fairly liberal shipper but the Silmarillion has several popular ships I don't care for or actively dislike.
