Games you've thrown in the Recycle Bin, then taken back out and replayed

Am I the only one who does this? I get so frustrated I bin them, then I dig them back out because they're fun or interesting.

The latest to be de-binned is YU-NO, a Japanese adventure game from the '90s in which the son of a missing scientist discovers his father's time machine and tries to find him somewhere in the timestream. It's a very jigsaw-puzzle sort of game, where you collect items and information in one branch of time and use them to solve puzzles elsewhere, and it can be quite satisfying to snap the pieces into place and start to figure out what's going on. (It also has the most unique version of time travel I've ever seen in fiction, with stunning implications if you can understand how it works.)

Unfortunately, the point-and-click mechanics can be a bit unwieldy at times. I spent half an hour clicking around a room, including multiple clicks on the clutter on a desk, before I realized I was specifically supposed to click on the phone. It's also a game from the time period when it was hard to sell anything resembling a visual novel if it didn't have smut in it--to its credit, it at least tries to integrate the sex into the plot, but you'll be rapidly skipping through a few scenes if you're not into women with boobs bigger than their heads.

Hardcore Gaming 101 claims this is one of the best games ever made. I'm not sure I'd agree with that, but it's certainly an interesting one. I just wish it were a little more user-friendly.

Sims. Every time. I binge play it, then it gets on my last nerve and I think about how much time I've put into it, and I bin it. I barely restrained self from getting a free S2 Unlimited. Currently I have Sims Medieval uninstalled.

I've done it a couple of times. I ragequit the original System Shock once only to come back to it a few years later and now it's one of my #1 favourites.

I'm doing this right now with Dragon Age Origins, half because I wanted to space out FF7 and TOR (before the housing update hits), and half because I wanted to make use of the $7 odd bucks I'd spent on it during the Steam sale.

I didn't hate DAO, per se, but I have a pretty sour taste in my mouth towards the DA franchise as a whole (blame Dragon Age 2 for that one). This time around, I'm just messing with mods and not really giving two flips about the story. I'll freely admit that as a former console player (of the game, anyways), it's nice to finally be able to play with mods that allow me to skip Ostagar and the Fade. Huahaha.

(I still think the game is above average at best, though)
