There are only two countries that could get away with nuking Israel without Israel being able to nuke them in return. One is America, which is more invested in Israel than Israel is. The other is China, which has no cultural connection with Israel and doesn't give a single shit about what Israel does. The whole Middle Eastern squabble is meaningless to them.

Israel will never get nuked, although I wouldn't place bets on it not nuking someone else for no reason. Hell, I could see it nuking Gaza or the West Bank if they used a small one and the wind was in the right direction to carry the fallout away from them.

Threatening to nuke Russia is just a stupid bluff. Even America knows that. The old bear might not be what it used to be, but it is still powerful enough to dump a few cans of instant sunshine on DC in revenge.
