I'm not sure I'm really a representative sample. I kind of think of it like the people who want more awkward first time fics. There's definitely an audience but I think overall porn=idealized fantasy still reigns.

I'd probably like your OC.

Mostly what I want is to see it not be so super serious all the time. I think there's room for breaking character in roleplay and finding the dirty talk hot and funny at the same time and just having fun.

I honestly kinda feel like idealized fantasies can be nice but also a bit cookie cutter. I'd enjoy seeing more individual character put in there. I remember someone once saying that the emphasis shouldn't be "these characters are having SEX" but "these CHARACTERS are having sex". (that is emphasis on the two characters having the sex and not just "OOH LOOK SEX"

I also kinda find some foe-yay type character x archenemy dynamics interesting. So there's that.

For me it depends on what I'm looking for. If I'm just looking to get off then it doesn't really matter to me; I'm not all that picky about that. But if I actually go looking for fic of specific characters then that emphasis on "these characters are having sex" is definitely something that the writers should keep in mind. That distinction is a good way of putting it.
