I was seriously not expecting to be so moved by a racoon sobbing while holding a stick. And then again by seeing him carrying that pot around. Their relationship was awesome. Everybody was awesome.
The whole team came together so well by the end, I can't wait for the next movie. And yes, Peter was adorable, I found the origin of his name super touching too.

And I was ...pleasantly surprised by the humour, I though it would be more heavyly handled. They actually managed to have all five main characters be funny too.

Rocket with the stick was terrible. Then jumping at Ronan, and the whole “But you'll die!” scene with Groot where they both cry. Like, could you not make me cry over a talking animal and a tree?! Do I need to ship these two? Marvel totes made it too easy. I couldn't ignore them if I tried.

The pot made me so happy. SO HAPPY. Rocket's little grateful expression as he holds the pot like it's the most important thing in the world. Ugh, why...

You know, considering how little time they have to just chill and get used to each other, I expected their teaming up and friendship to feel forced. But in the end I just thought, “They get on so well, and it's entirely natural. They've been through a lot together.” They did a good job of making all the characters (And their issues) authentic.

I expected Peter to get another mix tape, but not the origin of Starlord. And suddenly I was all over that name and adored it in a way I never would have otherwise.

Yea! I doubted that everyone would get funny moments, but it worked out best that way. I am def here for as many of these they want to make.
