I always told my hairdresser that when I got tenure she could go wild, so I'm keeping my short bob but letting her play with color. The base will be my very dark brunette I normally do with red and purple streaks. I'm kinda angsting about the purple. I'm not cool at all LOL and I don't want to seem like I'm trying to be younger or cooler than I am. And I don't want to skirt the line of professionalism toooo far even though I'm secure in my job now.

That actually sounds like a pretty awesome hairstyle! You can pull it off, I'm sure. And don't worry about it too much. Life is short, so flaunt it!

Here's a picture from when I first got this color, so it'll be like this picture except a smidge shorter, a smidge darker, and with purple along with the red.
