Chocolate Poll Results

Thank you all for your thoughts on chocolate yesterday (which are all delicious by the way). I too was disappointed I couldn't use the coupon on Kit-Kats or Reeses Cups.

I tried looking for the Dove Almond Chocolate, couldn't locate it among the multiple CVS/Walgreens/Meijer/Kroger/Targets/Wal-Marts around me. Actually their website doesn't list it on the product page but on the retail look up Dove Peanut Butter. OMG want but could not find! Also could not locate Twix Peanut Butter. Sad.

I wanted something a little different, something not had before. So I looked at Snickers Rocky Road (apparently only sold at Walgreens) but then put it down as I'm not much of a marshmallow person (despite what the stomach looks like).

Ended up choosing Milky Way Dark. Yes, Milky Way is like Snickers just without the peanuts. The MW Dark actually was pretty good. In some parts the caramel and nougat was pretty thick so peanuts would have just made it too much. (Look at me pretending to be knowledgeable about candy bars when all I know I read about on multiple junk food sites.)

And that's all there is for now. My adventure trying to choose chocolate when my plans fell through for seeing "Guardians of the Galaxy" due to logistics. Now thinking I can see it on Saturday instead.

God damn I'm verbose even as anon…

A wise choice. I'm not a fan of Milky Way original, but Dark is a lovely thing.

Randomly, I've only ever seen Rocky Road Snickers at the dollar store. I don't really care for Snickers so much, but I'm always up for trying a new candy bar, so I really regretted my current restriction diet. :(

Milky Way Dark - excellent choice! I'm good with regular Milky Way, but dark chocolate offsets the sweetness of the caramel just a little more, and I think there's a slight difference in the nougat - more vanilla than the regular or something. Milky Way Simply Caramel is also excellent IMO, especially sprinkled with a little sea salt, and if they ever made THAT in a dark chocolate... well, assuming I can ever eat candy bars again, I would be on that so fast.

(Not at all obvious I miss candy, eh. Sigh.)

Oh yes, there needs to be more sea salt in these bars! Sea Salt, caramel, peanut or almond, chocolate (wouldn't matter if milk or dark but dark would best).

If you can ever find Vosges chocolate bars, they are so worth it. It's usually $7 a bar which is pricey but I absolutely love them. The flavors are all so unique, my current addiction is the milk chocolate, African tea, and tart cherry one.

Vosges is definitely interesting. I think it was earlier this year or maybe it was last year they had Hunger Games themed bars. I couldn't find any in my area and ended up finding a store that was 2 hours away. They were mighty tasty!

That sounds amazing. I wonder if they'll do that again ever because there's a store not too far from me.
