I believe in the Lifestream, a la Final Fantasy VII. :P Which is basically that. That sounds really nerdy, but the idea that our spirits are like any other part of our body, and when we die they might "decompose" but in turn our elements may separate and combine to become something new. To me, the concept of "energy cannot be created nor destroyed" is the most spiritual phrase in existence. I guess it's kind of like "reincarnation" but I think it's something more than that.

Haha, good to know there's a similar idea somewhere. I've hoped to come across a similar worldview in a religion somewhere, but not much so far.
