That can be used to your advantage, you know. When I was in Community College, the classes were so broad in age groups that on the first day of a new semester, you never quite knew who the teacher was. I know of at least one teacher who specifically used that to have fun. She was a psych teacher (or anthropology? I'm not sure, but it doesn't matter to the story), and she once opened a semester by sitting with her students and seeing how long it would take for them to give up on the professor coming in. She did it to make a point to her students that the "10 Minutes for a Professor, 20 for a PhD" was actually informal and was not at all allowed by the college.

The ways you could screw with your students' heads are plentiful. Oh, but don't wear high heels that day; it's a giveaway.
