Scruff is common, especially with guys who wish they had a full beard, lol

Sure, but it's not like - a scattering, it's like...Derek Hale scruff. My daughter's new probably boy-friend has a full-on beard, and he's a senior this year like her.

Just....so weird, to me. These are all so *tall* and built and whatnot - in HS, we all pretty much looked weedy and awkward and scrawny/babyfat and stupid. The hair (hello, 80's big hair!) sure didn't help.

eh, I think some of that is probably perspective and culture. Like maybe when you were in HS it was more common to shave? I doubt people are actually taller/more physically mature now than they are then. (Unless people are starting school a bit later or something?)

I seem to recall reading some studies about how girls have been starting puberty earlier and earlier--possibly because of more hormones in the food and whatnot. That sounds plausible although I don't have any references....

It's been almost 30 years since i've been in HS and these kids? Just do not look like we did.
