Just don't read WIPs. It will make YOU happy. And isn't it better to be responsible for your own happiness?

DA, but let me tell you about how people keep posting WIPs as incomplete series on AO3. The "complete only" filter doesn't work on series, so sometimes I'll just be reading along, thinking I'm reading a complete story in a series, only to find out it's more of a chapter and it hasn't been updated in months/years. Super frustrating.

But that's improper tagging, which is a whole different kettle of fish. The people who can't figure out how to tag - or who just want to do it different because they're so special - cause a lot of issues in a lot of different areas. So, completely agreeing with your frustration on that count.
