I can't imagine giving up the show because the Doctor changes. That feels like it is kind of missing the point of the show. I have my favorite, but moving past losing one Doctor and learning to love the next one is part of what Doctor Who is all about. There were Doctors before Ten and there are Doctors after.

I only watched new Doctor Who. I was not attached Nine (he wasn't there long, I disliked Rose, I disliked his personality). But I loved Ten. I get that it is still "The Doctor". But not really? For me it was the death of my favorite character on the show. It didn't help that I disliked Eleven's introduction (and what I have seen of his episodes on Tumblr).

I couldn't get into Seven stories and I passed on Eleven. So it happens. Doctor(s) are not created equal.
