But most of the time the show justifies it and portrays him as in the right when he really, really isn't.

From what little I've seen of Ten...yeah.

I keep meaning to watch more DW, but the change from Nine to Ten was so abrupt and Ten rubbed me the wrong way almost from the beginning.

If Ten bugs you, skip to Eleven. He is very different, and from what I've seen if someone dislikes one of the two they usually like the other.
