I don't think that's an uncommon opinion at all. It feels like by far the majority opinion on the Internet, in fact. It doesn't bother me (and I definitely don't think it makes a show bad) but it's obviously a massive issue for a lot of people, so you're not alone.

Yeah I remember a friend of mine complaining that her hipster sister refused to try a show she liked because it had a laugh track.

I once heard MASH with a laugh track. Totally different show, and horrible.

I was just thinking this - and this is why I can't stream MASH and had to get the DVDs. The show is just wrong with a laugh track.
