I feel like we had a thread a while back about this very thing - what kind of taste in music would not make you like someone.

tbh I found it very shallow :/ but there were a lot of people who seemed to be responding seriously

It seems shallow to me too, but unless someone listened to a kind of music that was morally questionable(like the anon suggested above) it wouldn't make me end our friendship.

Heck I've got friends with wildly different music tastes than my own, somehow we get along fine.
