The Erudite pronunciation thing annoyed me as well. Not so much because I was like "That's clearly objectively wrong everywhere!" because I'm sure it's a legit pronunciation in some places, but it was so distracting every time I heard it. Like, I'd be immersed in the story and then suddenly be thinking about pronunciation.
