or she's just a tall girl suffering tall girl woes? Especially in a country like Japan where femininity is highly prized among women?

Back in the 90s I had a Japanese exchange student who stayed with my family for a while. She was tall, and she told us how terrible it was to be tall in Japan because she had a ton of trouble finding clothes that fit her. She had to pay extra to get stuff in her size.

So yeah, that's a legit issue for a tall girl in Japan to be having.
