I agree with you on how there would be some people complaining that Disney chose to make an all Japanese movie over whatever more oppressed group of the week they think is more deserving.

Like, "Disney is doing an all Japanese movie but when are we going to to see an all lesbian movie? Bigots." or "Disney is doing an all Japanese movie. Of course you'll never see an all Middle Eastern Muslim movie. They'll never touch that. Bigots."

I... can't say I've seen complaints phrased like this. People don't usually complain about movies with non-white casts when they're talking about representation. I have seen people complaining about that one guy apparently not looking Ainu, which is understandable if they just took it out altogether.
