Unless your family is sticking cutlery between their crack while periodically rubbing dishware against their taint, no, it's not "kind of like" it.

I'm just saying, you never know with kids. Kids can be gross.

And if you're sharing your underwear with someone else, trust me, you have a much different idea of personal hygiene than most folks. I would not share anti-microbial panties even with a twin. That's just a huge nope to me.

And I can't even imagine being a guy sharing tighty whities with a brother.

Yes, they were washed. I thought that was a given.

*insert oblig comment about tongues having more bacteria than toilet seats*
*intert oblig comparison with oral sex*

Just because the idea of something is gross to you, doesn't actually make it gross on a scale of what contact/bodily fluid exchange humans have with each other on a regular basis. How is a piece of fabric touching one person's butthole, then being washed with hot water and soap, then touching my butthole any more gross or somehow likely to cause injury than someone masturbating with their hand, washing it thoroughly then shaking someone else's hand? Or, you know, fingering their butthole as the case may be? In other words, get a grip.

Also, way to not understand analogies. I was comparing the automatic assumptions made about sharing underwear/crockery (that they are or are not washed between uses) rather than how underwear/crockery is used (that they both are rubbed against your taint according to you).

So, congrats on that I guess.

Late comment here, but the rubbing-crockery-against-your-taint bit reminded me of the joke about how being pansexual means you are sexually attracted to pans and now I can't stop laughing. Thank you for unintentionally making my night.

DA. Good grief. You are free not to share clothes, but your personal beliefs don't make sharing poor hygiene.
