Yup

Only on special occasions (Thanksgiving, Christmas) or if we're out to eat. If I'm visiting my dad then yes, we eat dinner together. But I primarily live with my mom and she eats so slow and I eat fast. So she's in the living room watching TV, I'm at my computer.

We used to do it every night when I was a kid. It tailed off a lot in when my brother and I got to being teenagers, for a lot of reasons.

If I don't have to, no. I'm actually eating dinner right now in front of my laptop.

Yeah, I did. I mean, at my dad's we ate dinner on the couch while watching TV, but we ate together. I don't think I ever ate alone except for maybe school day breakfast. We didn't really eat lunch either.

Not at a table but in the same room, yes.

I did as a kid. And we used to eat dinner at my grandma's on Sundays. But not so much anymore.

When I am in the same house as them, yeah.

I used to, but now that there are no little kids we all eat whenever we feel like it.

We used to but now my parents eat in the living room and I eat in my bedroom. We only bother to clear off the dining room table for holidays, if we're actually home and not at an aunt's house.

While growing up, I ate almost every dinner, most weekend lunches, and some breakfasts with my immediate family. Things varied a bit over time, but that was the general pattern.

Yes--I was going to say we had family dinners every night, but now that I think about it we also ate lunch as a family on days we were all home. Still do, actually, when my siblings or I visit our folks. And we often do late Sunday breakfast as a special thing, too.

Growing up, anyone who was in the house for dinner sat down and ate together. When my husband moved in with us (we lived with my parents for a few years to pay off some medical bills), he was weirded out by it, because his family never sat down and ate together.

Now we do the same thing with our kids.

Not as much as I used to, sadly. It used to be routine in our house. As my sibs and I grew up, it just became harder and harder to do and now it's kind of an occasion if all of us are eating at the same time.

Yes.

As a kid, yes. Nowadays, not so much.

If I'm home with my folks, then yes--except for breakfast, because I get up 2-3 hours before they do. But usually I'll have second breakfast while they're having their first one.

Family meals were almost every night while young. Tapered off when I moved out into the shed.

Event based meals like Christmas still happen but I only go to some. Travel and all that.
