I did reschedule my job interview and I feel like a weight lifted ff me. The woman seemed understanding, at least. I'm still nervous for tomorrow. It will be a long surgery, and my dad might need some time in recovery/ICU. So, we might not know what's going on for a few hours. But, at least I don't have to double worry. Thank you to everyone who has lent an ear,I'm sorry if my posts lately are not so joyous.

Good to hear you are feeling better than before. Most often doctors either take a break themselves or send someone out to let families know what is happening and how a surgery is progressing when they're in the middle of it. Then afterward, they don't usually waste a lot of time letting you know the prognosis. They don't want to make you wait and worry any longer than they need to.

We have a number we can call at least. We'll see. I just hope all goes well.

Dude, this is your life, don't apologize for it! This is a terrible situation and it's only normal that you would be worried about it and might want to discuss it.

I'm glad you did reschedule though, and I hope everything goes well with your father. Take care in the meantime! Be sure to bring something to keep yourself occupied with while you wait.

Anyway, there's plenty to keep me occupied. Just not sure I'll actually be able to focus on anything.

I hope all goes well, both with your dad and with the rescheduled job interview. I'm glad it sounded like they understood -- from the perspective of the interviewee, it's easy (and understandable) to over-think their possible reaction, but I'm not surprised they didn't seem to have an issue.
