(Anonymous) 2014-08-08 02:34 am (UTC)(link)I can kind of understand being confused, because it can be hard to understand the motivation of someone you don't know in a community that doesn't interest you, but why are people getting mad about any of this?

b.) Because that stream of links and hashtags is annoying and difficult to read. When it's a few words, it's fine, but when it's entire sentences or paragraphs, then it starts to be a problem, and long "tag essays" are sometimes a literal pain to read.

(Anonymous) 2014-08-08 04:53 am (UTC)(link)I understand that it can be a pain to read, but I honestly think tag comments are pretty practical.

And I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, because reading essays written in tags is still too much of a pain in the ass to read to compensate for any alleged practicality gained from it. If nothing else, people could at least have the decency to paste the tags into a Notepad and then cut and paste into the post so that the whole damn meta isn't underlined and making an already hard to read post even more difficult to visually process.
