Yeah.
When I read the OP the first time I just sorta rolled my eyes at it because it seemed like the typical "teenage justice warrior wannabe from America talking about things from their black and white perspective."
It also makes me think of a more recent thing where a celebrity visiting in India wore a sari and a bunch of people got mad about it and when on Indian person pointed out that it wasn't offensive and it was probably a gift that would have been rude to refuse some other person comes in and is like "no shut up and fuck you and fuck her and fuck any people who are okay with this"
Honestly that's what kinda bothers me the most about some of tumblr's community. Not that they're discussing issues It's that they're so SET on their perspective and opinion and NOBODY can argue with them. Even if that person has more insight then them.

I hate when someone outside the group they're trying to help has an idle thought that something may possibly be offensive to that group, but then they don't bother to check with the people who are actually affected. It's great that they're thinking about it, really it is, but you need to do the research and make sure you're not talking out of your ass. I see this particularly in discussions about disability and it's so frustrating.

I get the feeling that some of them are doing it more for show and their ego than anything else.
