How is pirating it any worse than watching it on a legal free site with Adblock?

...well now you've actually got me thinking. I don't have a horse in this race, as I don't watch any of this. However, it is a thought-provoking question.

I suppose the difference would be the source and the intent but... hmmm... that doesn't mean much.

Thank you for the food for thought.

Do most sites make money per ad watched, or is it already paid by the sponsors anyway?

AFAIK they get paid by clicks and views.

This is why I turn my adblocker off when I stream on legit sites, if I'm gonna take advantage, I can go all the way with HD torrents and not waste my time, otherwise I can spare a minute to mute commercials.

Legal sites can still benefit from people visiting their site. The more people that search for them increases their visibility on search engines improving their SEO. They can also benefit from webpage views, regardless if someone has an adblocker. When you want to get sponsors it helps to have high and frequent unique visitors to show that they will benefit from partnering with the site, like promo codes or contest stuff.
