Her actions were endangering the rest of the group. Better that one person die than an entire group who would have been able to survive otherwise.

And then die 20 years later due to the dramatic drop in life quality, having done and seen unthinkable things. Envying bitterly the ones who died with a purer heart and conscience.

You're one of those "there's no point in living once we've lost our humanity" people, aren't you?

(I'm not, but then again, I'm not the one who seriously just used the phrase "purer heart" like lol what are you a synopsis for a Disney movie?)
