I had one. Peahopless for the V for Vendetta fandom. But I don't know what happened, after her geocities page was taken down she just sort of....disappeared, I think.

On AO3: Ryfkah is a multi-fandom fave of mine. I also enjoy thereisafire. Aishuu is also dependable for good!fic in multiple fandoms. Stariceling writes character-driven thoughtful drama in a ton of fandoms.

At FF.net: I adore Vathara, particularly her amazing crossovers and AUs. Lomonaaren's HP stuff is almost always good, though it can be a touch repetitive. (I just make sure not to read her stories in a row. :3) S'TarKan is great for multi-fandoms, if slow with updates. Buduica is on my fave author list for a reason. Leavesfallingup is great at dramatic longfic. Peroxidepest17 is fun!

I never realized how many favorite authors I actually had until I wrote this comment. Heh! C:

Ooo, astolat is one of the few fanfic writers who I can remember by name. I don't ship Steve/Sam though and I haven't read any of their more recent works, but damn if they aren't incredibly talented.

Same. I usually use bookmarks to keep track of writers I like, but them I can just remember.

At the moment, boopboopi is probably my favorite writer in the Captain America/Avengers/MCU fandom, and possibly overall now that she's writing an Avengers fusion fic with an obscure show that I loved and adore but can't seem to find any fandom for.

etothepii's Sherlock AUs are good for me, but I'd also read any of his other work too.

Maybe because her fics were the first ones I read for Tiger & Bunny, but

barkour's fics are basically all I need in that fandom. They used to be called memlu here, but it seems to be deleted.

Violent Medic's RVB fic, but that's my Murderer's Row bias factoring in. Still a good author anyway.

I am still in love with that Beyblade series from the early 2000's that ruined me for taking things seriously, so I was pretty happy to love basically all of Chibi Zia's stuff.

glayish is pretty cool too, but it's on her FF.net page.

Aside from that, I don't usually have favourite authors. I don't think I do since I had to think a bit hard for this one :|a
