Do you ever come across RL situations that make you wish a fictional character was there to fix it?

I don't mean super-strong flying superheroes who can carry starving people off of mountains or something. I mean normal human fictional characters whose personal characteristics would really be appreciated and valuable in certain situations.

All the time, mostly because I'm shit at handling r/l situations quite often.

I wish I could bring Sam Vimes and the rest of the Watch out of the pages of Discworld and set them to fixing the current madness in Ferguson. Would love it if they could train cops, too.

I mean, I know that the Discworld cops aren't perfect, but it'd be better than the cluster fuck we have right now going on.

The anon above me talking about the Ferguson cops reminded me that I would appreciate it if Starsky was around to smack a bitch:

I want Sandra Pullman to be charmingly unpleasant at rude and obstructive people for me.

I was in terrible pain for a year due to a tumor that kept getting misdiagnosed (lucky for me it wasn't cancer). I wish House had been around.
