female anatomy stuff (potentally tmi)

Any f!sers who have had a septate hymen: what did you do about it? Did you leave it be or did you get it surgically removed? And if you got it surgically removed, what were your experiences?

(And if you don't know what a sepate hymen is, google it before you try to tell me that hymens are a myth.)

Man I don't even know if I have a hymen or not. Like maybe it broke when I was a kid or something. Maybe I have this? How could I tell? My gyno never mentioned it either way.

You may very well have a hymen that's just fringe tissue, or broke it as a kid. My own was most likely lost somewhere between horseriding and a yeast infection as a kid. *shrugs*

Next time you have a gyno visit, ask them.

if you use a mirror you can see it by spreading apart the inner labia. if the hole isn't clear then you still have one.

hymens are a myth? I've never heard that one.

I mean it is a myth that everyone has a perfectly intact hymen that bleeds on first PIV experience, but I've never heard anyone deny that they exist

A while ago there was some of that noise going around Tumblr, so yeah, I've heard it.

From the sound of it, the only reason to get it removed is if you like wearing tampons and have trouble putting them in/taking them out? Otherwise, you could leave it be, and it really wouldn't matter.
