I dink around quite a bit at bakerstreet here on dreamwidth, though I have been thinking of trying to join a structured RP. Any recs, anyone?

I used to do AIM primarily, but as our fandoms changed I sort of lost contact with the people I RPed with, and I haven't really been able to meet people in my new ones.

I RP in forums, and if you're interested in dragons, and Dragonriders of Pern specifically, Dalibor Weyr is one of the best: http://daliborweyr.b1.jcink.com/index.php
It's long-running and stable, staff is friendly, there's plenty of setting information since several players have no prior experience with Pern, and there was recently an advertising contest that brought in a few newbies already.

Aside from Pern fandom, I don't have much experience with other RPs, though.

Hmm, I'll keep it in mind! I'm assuming it's OCs/Pern only? I haven't read those in yeeears, haha, I should pick them up again. Thank you!

OCs, yes, although some of the characters are acknowledged to be blatant expies of characters from other fandoms.

I'm currently involved with a few on DW now, cityofariel and masksormenace. Both are fun for very different ways.

But you might want to wait for app_this_plz to post their new list of games, etc., at the end of the month to see if any of the games listed interest you.
