the fact that people like something you don't, really.

I'm not a fan of Supernatural at all, but it takes a certain level of special to actually think that women who like it literally hate their own gender and haven't had sex. like, that's your stereotype, really? I had to laugh at your absurdity. especially considering the show involves a great deal of shirtless pretty boys and slash fodder, and your go-to for why women like it is "they hate their gender". just lol.

Are you sure you're not a fan? You sound like exactly the kind I'm talking about, for your weird defensiveness as much as anything. It's a stereotype, the superficial impression I receive every single time wank from that fandom arises from the muck of spn_gossip and gets linked for the lulz across fandom spaces.

But go on with your hysterical defense of those fangirls. It's kinda funny.

Are you a self-congratulatory white boy redditor? Because that's exactly what you sound like tbh.

I had to look 'redditor' up. Uh, can't speak to whether I sound self congratulatory, but I'm not a white boy. I'm not even a boy.

You know the subject of this thread is what are our stereotypes of other fandoms, right? Well, this is my stereotype of the Supernatural fandom. If I'd known it would trigger so much self-righteous mocking, I wouldn't....nah. I'd have still have shared mine.

Supernatural does not very often present it's most shining light out into fandom space. Whether that's fair or not, I can't say. But if there's vitriol surrounding nearly every convention, every Tweet one of the actors puts forth, every rumored storyline involving another dirty vagina near one of those precious boys, then some people are going to develop an impression........even knowing that that's not true of every fan or fandom space.

For someone who knocked another poster for sounding "defensive," you sure sound pretty defensive yourself.

lmao so my pointing out how stupid your thought process is makes me a fan, huh? Oh yes, I believe it's your "stereotype" and superficial impression, and I also think you're nuts to make a connection like that. My favorite was how you got this weird "omg Supernatural is so sexist, how could women like it, they must hate their own gender" thing... right next to you being a sexist asshole and making a misogynistic claim like liking a damn show means they haven't seen a penis in a decade. How is "it's a STEREOTYPE" any kind of defense for how horrible your opinion is?

"Hysterical defense of fangirls" lmao you really must see the world in a very special way.
