My trick, since I spend all my time at home, is to limit when I can eat, and that's helped a lot. Once I start eating, I just kind of keep grazing until I've eaten everything. If I wait until my preset time (noonish for me), I don't keep snacking all day. I think that only works for snackers, though.

Also, make your food more satisfying. Buy quality food, and pay attention to how much you're enjoying it. The more satisfied you are, the less you'll feel like getting a second helping.
