Re: Weirdest/most specific headcanons?

My headcanon for a sequel to The Last of Us [[SPOILERS]] is that after the end Ellie sneaks away to go back to the Fireflies to figure out what happened and try to get a cure made while Joel chases after her to try and save her and not understanding why she won't stay with him and let them be happy. It starts off sad and they have some fluffy good moments and cat and mouse games, but they both start to realize that it isn't just about Ellie and that Joel can't stand the idea of a cure being made and going back to anything close to life before the infection because it will have made everything he's done and lost seem like it was pointless and make the bad things he's done seem less justifiable. Joel starts to go crazy and Ellie is seriously running for her life while dodging other obstacles besides just Joel. At some point learns for certain that making a cure means her dying and learns exactly what happened with the Fireflies. Etc, etc. Hopefully would find a way to end without being horribly depressing so I could sleep at night.
