Hey, anybody know if the Rising has been licensed and when/if it's ever being released in the United States? I wanttttttt to watch it!

Ugh, I'm in the same situation. I really want to watch this movie (I love the series so much) but I don't want to pay $60-$100 to order it. Plus...my region free DVD player is old and I'm not even sure it would still work, and if it did the DVD would only play on that player and...that's kind of a drag, and not really worth the money imo. :( I wish it was available on crunchyroll or something.

Yeah, and I don't want to give bootleggers my money instead of the people who make it, and there's no quality control for ebay subbed movies.

Eventually soonish maybe? Viz licenses it, and they've already been screening the movie since March (in some cities tbf), so I wouldn't be surprised if you can start buying a copy by Christmas at most.

If you have a blu-ray player, the Japanese BD is region free and includes English subs. Hella expensive though.

I saw that but mannnnnnn the Blu-ray is a bit pricey for my blood. I'll hold out and keep my eyes open and if worse comes to worst, I'll buy the JP version, price be damned.
