Re: I really REALLY hate my country.
(Anonymous) 2014-08-20 04:22 am (UTC)(link)It is very hard to just get up and move, especially when the move involves going from one country to another. You have to go through the immigration process (and hope that you'll be accepted), which can take years and be fraught with BS (just look at that one post upthread). You have to secure housing. You have to either find a job or make sure that you'll most likely be able to get one. You have to take care of any obligations that you currently have wherever you're currently living (imagine, for example, having a mortgage that needs getting out of). And there a myriad other tiny logistical bits that you've got to figure out. It's really disingenuous to teat that kind of move like it's easy and no big deal.
