Ugh, I'm so into Haikyuu!! and Kuroko no Basuke right now, and I don't understand where this love for sports anime came from. I guess Free? Though that doesn't seem to focus on the actual sport all that much, it's a fun, feel good anime and I basically wanted more of that. Both are so entertaining and happy, and it's so much fun cheering for the teams to win their matches and games, and holy crap is there lots of shipping potential. I love them.

I'll probably even read the manga for both eventually, but right now I'm just basking in all the fluffy fic. (God, so much fluffy fic. I don't usually search for it, but it's perfect for these shows and warms my heart. I LOVE YOU ALL, ADORABLE CAST MEMBERS! ...Well, except Tsukishima and Yamaguchi, you guys are dicks, but not everyone can be perfect.)

Yes! We all need a little more cute in our lives, and these are such feel good shows; they've become my happy place.

I feel the same way about Natsume Yuujinchou. It's all about friendship and helping spirits who need guidance and every episode just makes me so happy. Some of the episodes get pretty emotional but it's usually tear jerking in a heartwarming kind of way rather than a straight up sad kind of way.

Ooo, I don't think I've heard of it before! I'll have to give it a try later; it sounds pretty cool. (And unique!)

Yea, I like that about anime like this; even when they bring the tears, it usually isn't over something being overwhelmingly depressing or fatalistic, it's heartwarming. When angst happens it doesn't last forever or drag the show down, it picks right back up shortly after. It's nice.
