I believe something along those lines was mentioned in the 2012 platform. It's not like the Democrats ever beat their kids. /sarcasm.

Oh no, both sides do it. It's just that while the Democrats denounce their child beaters and call the cops on them, Republicans rally around them and their story that little Jimmy just really loves walking into doors. Fox News airs an insightful commentary about how people who oppose corporal punishment are the real abusers, and Rush Limbaugh calls little Jimmy a gay slut with an S&M fetish. Then Kevin Sorbo spearheads a fundraiser to pay for Jimmy's dad's legal defense.

Well, unless Jimmy's dad is black. Then they shoot him and ship Jimmy off to Kenya where he belongs.
