Apparently I come at my zombie survival games at a different angle than a lot of people, because I liked Sarah and I liked Ben. Characters like those, who have trouble handling a crisis, and have trouble coping... they're normal. They're realistic. I like having them around.

Sarah wasn't even a colossal fuck-up like Ben. She was just a scared child in a really shitty situation, with a dad who never really tried to prepare her for the hardships of life. I don't understand the amount of vitriol people have (including the creators, apparently) for a child acting like a child. I really wanted to have Clementine have a chance to help her grow as a person.

Unfortunately, Telltale Games doesn't let characters who you have a chance to let die survive for long. >_> It's one of the main faults of the game, in that the life-and-death choices don't really matter in the end.

+ fucking 1

i'm not continuing the game series after the last season. i feel no point in any of it. why waste the emotional energy trying to rescue characters when they die 10 minutes later, anyway?

See, I liked Ben because even if he was a colossal fuck-up, at least he was trying. He recognized that he needed to help the group out and tried to do so, and although he screwed it up, his heart was in the right place and he was making an effort.

Sarah... was just there. She did nothing, made no attempt to contribute, and was pretty much total dead weight. For me, it was very hard to like her when all she did was drag the rest of the group down and did nothing to help out.
