'Gross'.

I'll admit I do use it from time to time when I can't think of anything else to say, but hearing it used by other people in certain contexts has lost every bit of meaning to me. =T

I don't like it either. How it gets used strikes me as an immature and even somewhat cowardly way of calling things out while dancing around the actual reasons you're calling them out. Just say that something offends you or strikes you as bigoted or disturbing or say it makes you uncomfortable!

It also suggests a knee-jerk reaction that isn't going to go anywhere further. We're all entitled to a visceral reaction to things we find unpleasant, but a lot of what "gross" gets applied to deserves more than the kind of reaction I'd have to roadkill.
