And I wish they weren't using them at all, because Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are the most boring characters to ever boring, but I don't think either of us is likely to get what we want.

No one in particular, I just find those characters really boring and needlessly heaped with melodrama in pretty much every incarnation. Which I suppose could be said of any character, but between the incest shit in Ultimates and the metric ton of stupid tied up in House of M and its spillover, I've just hit my limit of giving any fucks at all about the Maximoffs.

It's less "wah my fave didn't get in" and more "oh, ugh, they're putting spinach in my chocolate".

I see your point, I guess I'm just more optimistic that Whedon will drop everything Bendis did to Wanda like Gunn did with Bendis's GotG stuff, since these two do have a three decade history of the Avengers to pull from. I guess you could always look forward to the Vision? Also, from interviews they Johnson, and definitely with Olsen, they do seem to be really interested in playing these characters.

I don't know, man. I came out of X-Men Days of Future Past loving their version of Quicksilver.

I couldn't even sit through First Class, so I gave DoFP a miss.

I hated First Class, as well, and planned to give DoFP a miss, but I was forced to go with a couple of friends. I disliked the movie in general, but I loved Quicksilver. I'm thinking of getting the DVD just so I can watch on repeat the 10 minutes he appeared in. And I went in the theatre prepared to hate him because of the publicity photos.
