Depends on the buffet, but around here eating at a buffet is a tacit admission that quantity is more important to you than quality.

Not always. I like buffets when I want a little bit of most things on the menu. I see people who pile their plates so high, it's a wonder nothing tips over so I see your point, but not everyone wants to shovel food by the pound. The only buffet in my town has some very nice selections, with fresh vegetables and good cuts of meat and poultry.

Agreed! I'm not much of a quantity-eater so I generally avoid buffets because the price isn't "worth it" amount-wise, but I like the ones that have a variety of foods that I want to try.

Yes! It's actually ideal for me because I can't eat a lot of food at once. It's nice to be able to get a little bit of lots of things instead of a giant pile of one thing. And in a buffet, I can choose portions that are more in line with what I want to eat than the fixed (very large) portions of most restaurants where I live, plus get more of the stuff I like best and less of what I just want a taste of.

I hardly ever go because I can't afford it usually. But if someone else is paying? Sign me up.

My fat ass definitely prefers quantity over quality some days, lol.
