I don't understand why anyone has to mention that "hey, RTD sucked too" when discussing Moffat's many, many failures. Yes, RTD had his problems, but as the anon above mentioned, the show under him was somewhat fun.

And I think the show has been more fun under Moffat. Not saying he doesn't have his problems, because he absolutely does, but honestly on the whole I find his stuff more fun and rewatchable than RTD's.

People mention it because a lot of the anti-Moffat sentiment contrasts his era with RTD while viewing RTD as some sort of sacred Golden Age of DW. That's simply not true.
