Need help with cat.

I have two female cats. The older one (11 yro)has been throwing up randomly for over a year and recently has started pooping all over the place (she has been using the litter box just fine up to this point). The vet has checked her out and pronounced her as 'fine' and the other one (the younger is 10 yro)has not been throwing up nor pooping randomly so we've determined it's not the food/drink.

Has anyone had a similar experience with their cat? I'm really concerned but don't know what else to do. Please help FS?

I wouldn't be so quick to rule out food as the cause.
I have one dog with food sensitivities and one dog who can eat the cheaper brands of dog food with no problems.

like the other anon said, it still may be the food; id be especially concerned about the food if you changed it around the time your older cat started having issues.

generally (in my experience) when cats get older they tend to use the litter box a little less? as in, peeing and pooping elsewhere. but your cats arent that old, so it probably isnt that. it's something to keep in mind though just in case.

one of my cats had a vomiting "issue" where she got sick a lot more frequently than my other cats. a lot of time it was spit, but it wasnt like she was trying to cough up a furball either. other times i was grass (which is expected) and food. she actually outlived all my other cats, i think she was 21 or 22 when she finally passed. i think the vomiting thing was just something that she did every now and then, but wasn't indicative of a disease.

i had another cat who started pooping outside of the box and we thought maybe he had ibs or something but it turns out he was a lot sicker than that. iirc, he had intestinal/bowel cancer and we eventually had to put him down. so i've been on either side of the spectrum here and i have to say it can be hard to tell whats serious and whats not.

if your cat seems weaker or less active i would suggest getting a second opinion at another veterinary practice. perhaps your primary vet missed something, or wasnt looking in the right places.

i would have a read through this article (maybe this one too) and if anything sounds very similar (ie. impacted anal glands) to what your cat is experiencing, maybe bring it up with the vet again.
