I really liked it, and I liked what there was of Drax, but I agree about the lack of setup. Ronan's motivation felt really underdeveloped, to the point where it felt like he was just there because the story needed an overarching Big Threat. I understand why the story needed a Big Threat so that the band of misfits could save the day, but what Ronan's motivation even was, I don't know.
