Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons

1) I can't see it at all. Dragons, demon bears, solar magic, and freezing magic if you want to add Frozen, OK, I can fit it in a commn universe. Guardians however? I have trouble with this concept and I find it alien to the rest.

2) Nonetheless, I side-eye hard people who'll cheerfully admit to having only seen two or three of the movies and yet are oh so taken with the crossover. How do you know it works if you only know half of it?

I can see this. If nothing else, Guardians takes place in the modern age while the others do not. Sure, Jack was born/died in a time period that fits with the other movies, but most of the movie does not.

I think the only reason ROTG got in there is because of Jack Frost + Coming out closer to those other movies. Frozen makes much more sense than that in that little universe.

I don't think this fandom is very canon-compliant, so even if someone hasn't seen all of the films, it doesn't really matter because "Let's put them all in an AU!" or something. I'm not sure how you can keep their characterizations consistent without having seen all of the films, however.

All in all, I think it's less about logic or fitting all of these movies in a working common universe and more about the fun of editing gifs of CGI movies of similar quality together.

I wish there was more explanation as to why the fandoms are crossed over because the main explanations I've seen aren't satisfying.

I can slightly understand crossing over RoTG and HTTYD since they were both movies by Dreamworks. And Brave and Tangled since they're Disney/Pixar but mixing them all together. Why.

Yeah I agree with you. Typically I'm interested in crossovers but they've got to have interesting and in character reasons for the crossover to happen realistically.
