Who is ready for the week to start up?

(Anonymous) 2014-08-24 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
not me. :C How is everyone's life going right now?

Re: Who is ready for the week to start up?

Not so good either.

I still have stuff to do and I cannot get myself motivated to do it.

Crap. Trying to turn myself into a slug with no cares. That seems to going okay. I know I mixing my creature here, but I've spent so much time cocooned on the couch the last couple of weeks that I'm hoping I'll emerge a beautiful butterfly but, then again, that requires effort.

Too bad slugs aren't caterpillars, and rather than being a cute fuzzy thing that will turn into a beautiful butterfly, you are just a slimy, stretchy thing that leaves slime trails everywhere and will probably get stepped on.

Still sick, looking at so many sites, but the cat is doing well!

[personal profile] kaijinscendre 2014-08-24 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
My throat is still killing me. I think I have a swollen lymph node (only one side hurts, I can barely swallow, no white on back of my throat). It is making my ear and teeth hurt.

Still looking at hotels in New York. I found one call The Court that seems to have good reviews.

My sister has adopted the kitten we rescued! Named her Old Gregg (lol). She is 4-5 months old and the vet says she needs to put on quite a bit of weight before she can be spayed.

She is happy though.

And definitely taking after her brother.

So cute kitties!

Hooray for kitty rescue, and for playing kitty!

I thought for a split second that the dog in the second set of photos was another cat, and I was thinking, "Holy crap that's a tiny kitten!"

I'm glad that the kitten has been adopted and will do well now! Good for you.

Not really excited for the week either. I have so much stuff to do.
* Learning to fake bruises and cuts for a photoshoot.
* Acquiring a location for said shoot, abandoned warehouse, industrial property or a workshop. Somwhere rough and dirty.
* Sign up for dance classes.

I spent all day at the fair yesterday (despite a preexisting injury) and every part of my body hurts. Owwwwww.

i start classes tomorrow that actually have something to do with my career path.

I'm nervous about facing "hey you're not supposed to be here" because, well, why shouldn't I? I'm really happy that big players in the tech field have admitted that they need to diversify their workforce.

Life. Cue Marvin from Hitchhiker's Guide.

Life has its ups and downs. It was good on Thursday. Average I guess the next two days. Then today it's oh yeah, remember that thing called life and your responsibilities in it? Yeah. Sucker punch.

The sooner we get through this crappy month the better. Ready for September already.

Boring and repetitive. University doesn't start till september and I don't know what to do till then. I do have things I want to do but I don't know where to start. I want to go out but I have no friend to invite. I'm such a loser and waste of space...

Aw I'm sorry Anon *hug*

I am ready for the week. I start working tomorrow, and work through the whole week. I can't wait. Just this afternoon I went with Mom to get groceries and lunch food for the week (since my sister is also starting middle school). It'll be a busy week but It'll be nice after long weeks of nothing this summer.

School starts for me tomorrow, a week before the university officially begins but my program has an early 1-week intensive for our year. I'm excited but also awash with back-to-school blues so I'm conflicted right now.

Definitely not me. My final semester starts tomorrow and I'm counting the days until it's over. It doesn't help that I'm too sick to think straight and have barely made a dent in the pre-class assignments I'm supposed to finish before the semester officially starts.

Re: Who is ready for the week to start up?

Week starting = one day closer to the next payday, which is desperately needed. So I'm cool with that. Especially since it's a three-week pay period instead of a two-week, so I'll get 1.5 times the money I normally do.

Also, fall semester's starting up where I work, meaning we'll be allowed to work on Fridays again, so I can actually do stuff on Monday through Thursday without being afraid I won't be able to get all my hours in, and a holiday doesn't mean that I literally CAN NOT get enough hours for the week. I mean, I'll still try to get everything done at the start of the week so I can keep having three-day weekends, but options are good.

Not me as it's the last week of summer vacation. I work in elementary education and school starts for us on the 2nd and the kids on the fourth. I'll be running three school libraries this year--so that I can get back to full time wages.

Summer always goes by too fast.
