(Anonymous) 2014-08-24 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)Giving you a benefit of the doub you do not deserve: They'e called safe spaces fuckhead. Women don't feel safe in mixed areas. Male dominated areas are hostile towards women, and men tend to turn mixed spaces into male dominated spaces pretty quickly.

I love "mixed areas". Most of my friends are married couples, and I've never experienced this "male domination", even when the guys were in the majority of the get-together.

(Anonymous) 2014-08-24 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)It makes me sad since my first forum was pretty evenly split and with the move to more social media sites I feel like the divide is will become more obvious and even places like twitter where there's a roughly equal amounts of women and men, both generally keep to their own communities in there since they have no connections with the opposite gendered ones.

(Anonymous) 2014-08-25 12:21 am (UTC)(link)I'm not anti-male fans, but there are some discussions I just prefer to have with women. Shipping in a show not really aimed at women? How attractive that actor is? How the writing treats women/different races? Yeah, I prefer to talk to female fans.
